Whether your holiday comes in following season,
Shangrila Reisen (P) Ltd. can offer you a trek for any season.
- Springs :March to May, Summer :June to August
-
- Autumn :October to December, Winter :December to February
Early Spring: February and March are ideal months for moderate altitude treks. The trails are less crowded now and you can enjoy rhododendrons in bloom over 1800m. The weather is perfect for a Chitwan National Park jungle safari. Late spring: April and May are the best months for high altitude treks. It can be hot and hazy at lower altitudes, so it is best to choose a trek which will take you quickly into the higher mountains. Mountaineering expeditions are possible and more practical at this time of year.
The Summer Monsoon: The monsoon rains last from mid June until
mid September. Trekking is still possible but mountain views are absent, although the
flora and fauna are ideal for keen botanists and
zoologists.
Autumn: After the monsoon rains is the most popular season for trekking. All types of treks can be undertaken although major routes can be overcrowded. This fall season extends well into December with fairly settled and predictable weather patterns.
Winter: Late December and January are ideal months for low altitude treks 3000m, although many high altitude treks are possible passes will be off limits. There may be snow underfoot and cold nights, but the days are relatively warm. This season has the added appeal of being less crowded in the popular trekking regions.
