Overview

This trek was so named in 1980, after it was completed by the Prince of Wales. It begins with a 20 minute drive out of Pokhara and a ridge walk through Brahmin and Chhetri village. The first campsite overlooks the Pokhara valley and offers mountain views of Machhapuchre (Fishtail), the Annapurna range,Lanmjung Himal, Manaslu and Himalchuli. The second day of walking leads to the Gurung village of , where many Gurkha soldiers were recruited for the British army. The trek continues up to Siklish and Galegaun and eventually descends down into the valley which leads to Lhachok and Mahendra Cave Valley.
